Addendum to SBT Documentation
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(c) Copyright 1993 by SBT Corporation, All Rights Reserved.
These instructions supplement and clarify the program documentation for
SBT Professional Series, Version 2.5.
In case of a conflict between the information in the manuals and this file,
you should use the information in this file. In addition, after starting
Professional Series you should review the information under the Read Me
help topic. To find this information, go to the Help menu, select
Program Topics, then select "Read Me."
For easy reference, the following text include each subject's title
underlined in the upper left-hand corner of the screen or page. The SBT
applications affected are listed after the title.
NOTE: To print this file, type PRINTME <Enter> at the DOS prompt.
Error Message: "Cannot locate desired version of FoxPro"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This message occurs on startup if you do not have sufficient free memory
for the FoxPro loader to call the extended run-time module FOXPRO2.ESL.
(Professional Series 2.5 requires the extended version of FoxPro, either
run-time or developmental.)
If your computer has less than 4Mb of RAM or if you have too many memory-
resident programs loaded (such as the SMARTDRV caching program), the
extended version will not be able to load, and the FoxPro loader will
instead attempt to load the standard run-time module, which requires less
memory. Since the standard version is not supplied with Professional Series
2.5, you see the "Cannot locate desired version of FoxPro" alert.
If your computer has at least 4Mb of RAM, correct the error by removing some
of the memory-resident programs that are taking up memory.
If the problem persists after removing any memory-resident programs,
check the CONFIG.SYS file (under DOS 5.0) to ensure that the EMM386
command line is set correctly.

FoxPro Versions
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Professional Series 2.5 is designed to run under FoxPro 2.0 dated June
3, 1992 or later. This is the version used as the environment for SBT's
most recent testing, so it is therefore the most reliable.
The run-time FoxPro that comes with Professional Series is the correct
version and will run.
If you attempt to start Professional Series 2.5 with another version of
FoxPro, you will see an alert telling you that you cannot continue.
