MICROSOFT WINDOWS INSTALLATION
First install your book(s) on your hard disk by unZIPping the
Electronic Library archive into the subdirectory of your choice.
1. Click on the program group you want to install your Electronic
Library into. For example, you might want to pick Applications.
2. Select File/New from the pulldown menu.
3. Choose the radio button Program Item. Click on OK.
4. On the Description Line, enter the name your want to appear below the
icon for your Electronic Library. For example: RFP ELIB. On the Command
Line, enter the subdirectory you installed your Electronic Library into,
followed by the name of the Electronic Library Reader program,
LIBRARY.EXE. For example: C:\RFPELIB\LIBRARY.EXE
5. Click on OK.
Using a Custom Electronic Library Icon
1. Select the current Electronic Library icon within its Program Group
by clicking on it once.
2. Select File/Properties from the pulldown menu.
3. Click on Change Icon. An error dialog box, "There are no icons
available....", will appear. Ignore it and click on OK.
4. Click on Browse. Select the subdirectory your Electronic Library is
installed in.
5. When you select the Electronic Library subdirectory, the file box on
the left will display the icons LIBRARY1.ICO through LIBRARY6.ICO. These
are the custom icons that are supplied with your Electronic Library
package. Select one of the icons that are listed and click on OK.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5, cycling through the available icons. When you
settle on your favorite icon, click on OK to make it permanent in your
selected Program Group.
