  7. ECHO DESCRIPTION

  9. Desert Hearts is a Private Women's  echo  for  discussion  (in  a
  10. sharing  and  non-combative  fashion)  of  what  one  might  call 
  11. "feminist (or women's)  issues."   This  covers  everything  from
  12. female relationships to politics,  sports,  spirituality,  health
  13. concerns, etc.

  17. SYSOP INFORMATION

  19. 1.  This is a PUBLIC ONLY echo.  DO NOT set up this echo as 
  20.     Public/Private.
  21.  
  22. 2.  This echo is for Women Only.  Male users of your systems may
  23.     not view or have access to this echo.
  24.  
  25.     Pre-TS may not have access to this area until they become
  26.     Post-TS.  Should question arise of actual gender, the user
  27.     must have access removed to this echo until a time the local
  28.     Sysop receives proof the sex change actually took place
  29.     (ie, copy of drivers licenses).  Once the local Sysop is
  30.     satisfied the change has taken place, the person may regain
  31.     access to the echo.

  33.     Male Sysops may view this echo, but posting directly in the
  34.     echo is not permitted.  If you have questions about the
  35.     conversation, you may Netmail the Echo Moderator on 156:3950/68.

  37. 3.  Refer questions or problems with this echo to the Moderator.
  38.     Also send a copy to me.  If you have problems communicating
  39.     with the Moderator, let sysop of 156:3950/68 know.  He will not 
  40.     step in on the echo, but I can investigate the problem and discuss
  41.     it with the Moderator for corrective action.

  44. USER INFORMATION

  46. 1.  DO NOT USE ALL CAPS.  This is an indication of anger.  The
  47.     purpose of this echo is friendly conversation.
  48.  
  49. 2.  SLAMS and Verbal abuse is not allowed.  If you disagree,
  50.     don't tell the other person they are wrong, post why you
  51.     disagree.  Discuss your disagreements, don't attack.   
  52.  
  53. 3.  Don't over quote.  Only quote parts of the message you are
  54.     replying to.  The entire message has already been posted and 
  55.     doesn't need to be repeated.

  57. 4.  Men's issues, discussion of boy friend/husband topics aren't
  58.     welcome in this issue.  If you wish to discuss relationships
  59.     with males, take it to another echo.
  60.  
  61. 5.  Discussion of TS is not welcome in this echo.  There are
  62.     echoes available for these discussions and this is where
  63.     they belong.

  65. 6.  Whenever possible, avoid one liner.

  67. 7.  Should an "off-topic" message get posted, ignore the
  68.     message; your Echo Moderator will take care of the problem
  69.     in Netmail.
