  2. (Y)our Mail Check - Function Help

  5. Subcommands:  (A) (S) (NS) (+) (-) (C) (ALL)
  6.  
  7.               (A)   scans all SELECTed conference message bases
  8.               (ALL) scans all conferences in which you are registered
  9.               (S)   scans only for mail left since the last message read
  10.               (C)   limits scan to current message base only
  11.               (+)   or (-) forces the direction of the scan
  12.               (Q)   display in Quick Scan format
  13.               (L)   display in Long Scan format
  14.               (NS)  displays text output in non-stop mode
  15.  
  16. Description:  Allows checking for mail left to you or from you in a message
  17.               base.  The above commands can be entered in combination on the
  18.               same line to limit the scan function as desired.  The default for
  19.               the (Y) command is to scan the current message base only, in
  20.               reverse direction, checking for mail left by you as well as for
  21.               mail addressed to you and to scan the complete message base, from
  22.               the end of the file to the beginning.

  24.               You can select which areas you want to be scanned when using the
  25.               (A) subcommand by typing SELECT or by using the (W)rite User Info
  26.               command.

  28. Quick Scan:   The Quick Scan format provides a display that looks something
  29.               like this:
