  22.         XLATEGED solves a minor problem which may be encountered by DOS
  23.         based genealogists who receive GEDCOM files produced on non-DOS
  24.         systems. Some systems separate GEDCOM lines with a CR character
  25.         (decimal 13 or 0Dh), instead of the LF character (dec 10 or 0Ah)
  26.         expected by DOS. Such files present problems when you try to PRINT
  27.         or TYPE them, or use any ASCII-based text editor or browser.

  29.         XLATEGED simply makes a copy of the original file, changing CRs to
  30.         LFs. XLATEGED will prompt for the filespec of the file to be
  31.         copied, and then the name of the copy. If the output file already
  32.         exists, you will be asked if you want to overwrite the old
  33.         version.
