  20.         The GENE-PAF program may be used to select/sort/display/output PAF
  21.         data.  The results of your selection and sort can be directed to
  22.         the monitor, a printer, an ASCII file for later editting and
  23.         printing, or to a CSV (comma separated field file) for input input
  24.         a database or spreadsheet program.  Some GENE-PAF routines will
  25.         allow the user to output notes for individuals from the PAF files. 
  26.         Following are some of the routines provided:

  28.         Anhentafel: This routine creates an Ahnentafel beginning with the
  29.            name for the Record  Identification Number (RIN) you input.
  30.         Children: This routine finds and lists the children and
  31.            grandchildren of an individual.
  32.         Roots: Use this routine to find father roots or mother roots or
  33.            make picture labels.
  34.         Identify: This is a routine to identify commonality of records. 
  35.            You may find individuals in the PAF data that have common names
  36.            or birthdates.
  37.         Format outputs: Routine is used to set the formats for other
  38.            routines. i.e. Surname First or Last; RIN turned ON/OFF, etc.
  39.         Select/Sort: Use this routine to select PAF data with certain
  40.            characteristics (i.e. male only, living, etc.), to determine
  41.            the order of fields of data and to set the fields on which the
  42.            data will be sorted
  43.         Notes: This selection will cause notes on individuals to be
  44.            printed after  the name data is output.  You are directed to a
  45.            menu where you choose selection of ALL notes or only those with
  46.            special tags. If your PAF notes data is stored with special
  47.            tags (such as !, #, %, ADDR:, PHON:, etc.) then you may use
  48.            this feature to print only those notes with your special tags.
