  21.         The GEDCOM library was developed by the Family History Department
  22.         of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  It is made
  23.         available as freeware as a tool to help genealogy software
  24.         developers.  Larry Maddocks, who uploaded the copy of GEDLIB which
  25.         the compiler of this document reviewed, helped write parts of the
  26.         GEDCOM library, including a GEDCOM file parser and a record
  27.         storage tool.

  29.         There are two compiled copies of the GEDCOM library.  One file is
  30.         called GED_BC.LIB, which was compiled under Borland C++ version
  31.         3.0.  The other is called GED.LIB, which was compiled under
  32.         Microsoft 6.0.  The source files are included if you wish to
  33.         compile your own library.
