  26.         NoteTool is designed to save time and keystrokes when entering
  27.         Notes data in the Personal Ancestral File (PAF).

  32.         NoteTool is an easy-to-use utility designed by Data Tools to save
  33.         users time and keystrokes when entering Notes data in PAF. With
  34.         it, you can avoid the multiple keystrokes required to input the
  35.         same Notes information (e.g., ordinances performed) numerous
  36.         times. A selective portion of the Notes information can also be
  37.         copied and pasted, saving substantial editing time later.

  39.         To activate NoteTool press the Scroll Lock key on your computer.
  40.         The NoteTool tag screen will appear.
  41.    
  42.         TO SELECT A TAG (e.g., BIRTH: or NATURALIZATION:), place your
  43.         cursor on it and press Enter (the return key). This will insert
  44.         the tag with a PAF print marker (!) in front of it.
  45.  
  46.         TO COPY A NOTE, press Tab. The Copy/Paste menu will appear at the
  47.         bottom of your screen. Move the cursor to the Copy Note option and
  48.         press Enter. After highlighting the note to be copied press Enter.
  49.         Your notes screen will return to its original state.

  51.         TO PASTE A NOTE INTO ANOTHER PERSON'S NOTE, go to the note and
  52.         activate NoteTool by pressing the Scroll Lock key. Press Tab to
  53.         access the Copy/Paste screen. Move the cursor to the Paste option
  54.         and press Enter. The note you highlighted earlier will be inserted
  55.         where your cursor is located.  This same note can be inserted into
  56.         as many notes as desired and is active until you exit Family
  57.         Records.
