\~PUBLIC ACCESS is a front end program that merely runs other free standing software programs. It needs to track what is going on in the other programs to do its work properly. If for some reason a patron has intentionally or unintentionally found a way to circumvent the linking of these programs the system will not find the files it needs to continue and will produce this FAULT screen.

\~Some pointers.........
\~Just below this help screen is a flashing number. This is the number of minutes you have to start your session. If for some reason you fail to start your session or change your mind about doing whatever it was you wanted to do, then QUIT or EXIT what you are doing and return to this PUBLIC ACCESS progress screen within these number of minutes and there will not be any charge on otherwise chargeable sessions.

\~Further down the screen there are three main areas of the PROGRESS-RESULT screen.

\~AREA #1 (RATES):
\~On the left of the screen is the charge rates assessed for this particular session. Communication programs have no rate for Printed Pages (can't print them) and Application Programs have no rate for Long Distance Minutes (LD MIN) for obvious reasons. Otherwise, you might check over these rates to be completely comfortable with what you will be charged if you complete this session.

\~The areas this system can set charge rates for are: Per Minute of Use, Per Page Printed, Per Long Distance Minute, Per Session, or Per Overall Event. Patrons will notice some or all of these areas may have a rate assigned to them for this particular session they are about to start.

\~AREA #2 ($ SESSION $) - [(Nbr) Totals]:
\~In the middle of the screen (If outbound) is zeroed, (If coming back) is the results of THIS session. When you have completed your session and returned to PUBLIC ACCESS these fields will reflect the appropriate charges, if any.
\~
\~AREA #3 ($ OVERALL $) - [(Nbr) Totals]:
\~On the right side of the screen are the overall figures for your use of this system from the beginning. On starting your first session all of these fields will be '0' (Zeroed). Then as you use PUBLIC ACCESS for succeeding sessions the values in these fields will accummulate with each session's charges.

\~At the bottom of the screen is the amount you are going to be charged when you have completed a chargeable session S[$ ]. Next to that is the overall total charges, O[$ ], for everything you have done since starting. If you only do one session and then quit, then these number will be the same IF there is no overall event charge and IF there is no credit card minimum.

\~If you do use a credit card and there is a minimum charge you will be notified when you return to this screen. Once you have had enough charges that exceed your minimum charge then the amount reflected in your overall total charge will accurate.
