  3. This set of files performs an update of OLX version 3.0 or 3.01 and
  4. creates OLX version 3.02.
  5.

  7.    It will only operate on a commercial release of OLX 3.x

  9.        and may only be used by paid licensees of OLX 3.x

  12.    USE OF THIS PROGRAM BY OTHER THAN REGISTERED USERS OF OLX 3.x IS

  17. THIS PATCH IS FOR THE OLX V3 THAT IS SOLD AS A STAND-ALONE PRODUCT AND
  18. WILL NOT WORK ON OLX V3 THAT WAS INCLUDED WITH QMODEMPRO.

  21. OLX v3.02 is a minor update to change the version number ONLY.  It was
  22. issued to keep the minor version number consistent with the OLX release
  23. included with QmodemPro.  NO NEW FEATURES HAVE BEEN ADDED.
  24.  
  25. The update program consists of two parts, the executable patch 
  26. program (PATCH.EXE) and the patch data file (OLX302.RTP). The patch
  27. data file contains all the information needed to make changes in 
  28. the old executable files and to track the application of patches,
  29. even after multiple updates have been performed.
  30.  
  31. To perform the update follow these simple instructions:
  32.  
  33. 1.  Copy the two update files PATCH.EXE and OLX302.RTP to the directory
  34.     containing your OLX 3.0 or 3.01 executable files.
  35.  
  36. 2.  Check to make sure that the directory contains OLX.EXE OLX.OVR,
  37.     OLX.HLP and OLX.LNG.  If any of these files are missing the patch
  38.     program will not run.
  39.  
  40. 3.  Change to the OLX 3 directory and type
  41.  
  42.       PATCH OLX302.RTP
  43.  
  44.       and press <ENTER>.
  45.  
  46. 4.  A successful patch process results in the following screen
  47.     indicating that four files were patched:

  69. Should you experience a problem is applying the patch please perform the
  70. following steps before contacting technical support.

  72. 1. Reinstall OLX v3.0 or v3.01 from your original disks into a new
  73.    temporary directory.
  74.  
  75. 2. Perform the patch process as described above on the OLX v3.x files in
  76.    the new temporary directory.
  77.  
  78. 3. If the patch is successful copy the patched files OLX.EXE, OLX.OVR,
  79.    OLX.HLP and OLX.LNG from the temporary directory to your OLX
  80.    directory.

  82.    If the patch is still not successful contact technical support at
  83.    805-334-2240 to resolve the situation.  KEEP IN MIND:

  87. NO CHANGES ARE INCLUDED IN THE OLX v3.02 RELEASE.

  90. The following changes were included in the OLX v3.01 release:
  91.  
  92. ■  Fixed problem with work directory when it was not specified with a
  93.    complete path name.
  94.  
  95. ■  Fixed problem with Alt+X when pressing it from a file viewer.
  96.  
  97. ■  Fixed problem with PgDn near the end of the file in the file viewer.
  98.  
  99. ■  Fixed problem with resizing an editor window near the right hand edge
  100.    of the text.

  102. ■  Fixed problem with the Replied flag not getting set in the Inbox if
  103.    a messages is replied to from within a QWK conference.
  104.  
  105. ■  Fixed problems with reading empty messages (message with no text).
  106.  
  107. ■  Fixed problem with entering alias names in the From field.

  109. ■  Fixed problem with the read flag when reading the first message
  110.    in a conference in split screen mode.
  111.  
  112. ■  Fixed a couple of problems with Find and Again in the editor.
  113.  
  114. ■  Tabs in incoming messages are expanded.
  115.  
  116. ■  The registration name is automatically uppercased to avoid the
  117.    problem with upper/lower names and the installation program.

  119. ■  There is now an error message if a packet rename fails.
  120.  
  121. ■  Fixed problems with running OLX from a drive different from the
  122.    one OLX is installed on.
  123.  
  124. ■  Fixed some problems with cut and paste and cursor positioning in
  125.    the editor.

  127. ■  Fixed problem with always zipping reply packets.  The correct
  128.    packer is now used.
