  1. This zip archive consists of two
  2. sub-archives which are also self extracting.  
  3.  
  4. PCNH31.EXE contains the entire nethack program
  5. and support files.  It contains additional
  6. readme and setup instructions as well as hints
  7. for running the game on various systems.
  8.  
  9. CHRHACK.EXE contains the chrhack program and
  10. its own install program.  Chrhack is
  11. not officially supported by the Nethack
  12. Development Team.  It is included in this
  13. distribution as it is a worthwhile addition
  14. to the PC Nethack Program.  Its use is entirely
  15. optional and it is not necessary to unzip
  16. this archive to use Nethack.
