  14. For LANtastic Network

  16.         (TUCSON, AZ -- March 2, 1993) -- Artisoft, Inc. 
  17. announced today that it will be offering LANtastic users a 
  18. new kit that allows interconnectivity with other operating 
  19. environments as well as providing an NDIS interface to the 
  20. LANtastic NetBIOS. The NDIS Support for LANtastic Kit is 
  21. scheduled to ship in March (concurrent with version 5.0 of 
  22. the LANtastic network), and is priced at $199 per network.

  24. Multi-Protocol Stacking
  25.         The NDIS Support for LANtastic Kit allows users to 
  26. load or stack multiple protocols allowing transparent access 
  27. across different computing platforms such as UNIX(R) (via 
  28. NFS), NetWare(R) (using a separate IPX NDIS driver), IBM 
  29. Mainframe and various other environments. These protocols 
  30. can be loaded and accessed concurrently without interrupting 
  31. the LANtastic network connection.

  33. NDIS Interface
  34.         The NDIS Support for LANtastic Kit enables a wide 
  35. range of adapters that come with NDIS drivers to be 
  36. compatible with the LANtastic/AI(TM) 
  37. network -- the adapter-independent version of the LANtastic 
  38. network operating system. The AI-NDIS driver included in the 
  39. kit also links Artisoft's, as well as third-party, NDIS 
  40. drivers with the LANtastic network's NetBIOS.
