Home Presciption Manager 1.0
WHAT IS HOME PRESCRIPTION MANAGER(HPM):
The purpose of HPM is to allow for documentation of prescriptions which
Physicians or Dentists call in for patients while at home. The program
allows you to call the pharmacy and have a printed record to take to
the office for documentation in the patient's chart.
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:
HPM requires a Color monitor, a Printer, and a Hayes compatible modem.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Once HPR is copied to whatever directory you like, it will create six data-
base files in the same directory which will be used to track Pharmacy and
Patient information. HPM is user friendly and has some simple prompts located
at the bottom of the screen for nearly every step of the way.
The main menu consists of 9 entries:
1) Enter Rx :
Used to enter patient information. Not all entries have to be completed;
only the patient last name is necessary.
2) Enter Pharmacy :
Used to enter Pharmacy information. Once again, not all entries must be
completed but be sure to place the name and the phone number if you want
the modem to dial the pharmacy.(Only enter area code if long distance)
3) Search Patient/Pharmacy :
This allows you to locate a patient record either by the patient's last
name or the date the prescription was written. If there is no exact
match, the next closest one will be displayed. A pharmacy can be located
similarly.
4 & 5) Browse Patient/Pharmacy :
This allows for browsing of both the Pharmacy and patient database. Also
allows you to print individual Patient records.
6 & 7) Edit Patient/Pharmacy :
This allows for browsing and editing of both the Pharmacy and patient
database.
8) Print Patient Records :
This Allows for the printing of Patient records either by Last Name, Date
or a Date Range.
9) Rebuild Database :
This allows for rebuilding of both databases in case the files become
corrupted.
HPM is freeware and currently is in its first version. If you have any
question or suggestions for improvements, please leave a message for Frank Diaz
at the ComputerStore BBS in St. Augustine Florida 904-794-0063.
