  5.         As we go to press this is the status of tax legislation:
  6.         
  7.              The  Revenue  Act  of '92 has been passed by  the  House  of 
  8.         Representatives.   White House officials have been quoted in  the 
  9.         press as predicting that President Bush will veto the Revenue Act 
  10.         of '92.
  11.         
  12.         The Revenue Act of '92 includes these depreciation provisions:
  13.              tax incentives for 50 enterprise zones
  14.              allow goodwill and other intangibles to be amortized over a 
  15.              14 year period
  16.              lengthen the depreciation period for non-residential real 
  17.              property to 40 years
  18.         
  19.              On  October  8,  1992 the Senate  passed  the  Comprehensive 
  20.         National  Energy  Policy Act of '92.  The bill has  already  been 
  21.         passed  by the House.  The bill has been sent to the White  House 
  22.         and it is expected to be signed by the President.
  23.         
  24.         The  Comprehensive  National  Energy Policy  Act  includes  these 
  25.         depreciation provisions:
  26.              repeal the alternative minimum tax preferences for
  27.              intangible drilling costs and excess percentage depletion
  28.              deducted by oil and gas producers other than large retailers
  29.              and refiners
  30.         
  31.              When  a  tax  bill  is  passed,  HammerSoft  (tm)  will   quickly
