  1. ELECTRONICS WORKBENCH

  4. ELECTRONICS WORKBENCH is a powerful software tool that enables you to
  5. easily build and test simulated analog and digital circuits. The traces on
  6. the on-screen instruments are the same as you'd get on real equipment. It's
  7. easy to use and ideal for learning about electronics, experimenting and
  8. prototyping circuits.

  11. Running the Demo
  12. ----------------

  14. Before running the demo, make sure your mouse is connected and the mouse driver
  15. is installed. Your computer needs at least 520 Kilobytes (KB) of available RAM.
  16. You can run the demo from the floppy disk, but it runs faster if you first copy
  17. the files to a hard disk.

  19. To start the demo from the floppy disk, make the floppy drive your current
  20. drive and type:
  21. EWBDEMO
  22.  
  23. If you want to copy the demo files to your hard disk, you will need about
  24. 900 KB of hard disk space. All the demo files must be in the same directory.

  26. Example:

  28.     mkdir c:\ewb
  29.     copy a:\*.*   c:\ewb
  30.     c:
  31.     cd \ewb
  32.     ewbdemo

  34. To start the demo, be sure you are in the correct directory, and type:
  35. EWBDEMO

  37. Versions:

  40. ELECTRONICS WORKBENCH has two DOS versions and a Macintosh version.
  41.  
  42. PROFESSIONAL (like the demo):  A color version with an enhanced interface.
  43. It supports a math co-processor if available. Requires IBM AT, PS/2 or true
  44. compatible with 286 or greater, hard disk, 640 KB RAM, Microsoft-compatible
  45. mouse, EGA or VGA display and DOS 3.0 or greater.

  47. PERSONAL PLUS: A monochrome alternative with modest system requirements--IBM
  48. PC/XT/AT, PS/2 or true compatible, two floppy drives or hard disk, 512 KB
  49. RAM, Microsoft-compatible mouse, CGA/EGA/VGA/Hercules display and DOS 3.0
  50. or greater.

  52. MACINTOSH: Equivalent to Personal Plus, requires Macintosh Plus or greater.
