Greetings All;
"Credit where Credit is due". Pretty nice saying, and it's time that
people started doing that with The DeAdZoNe utilities. I get numerous
messages from users or netmail messages saying "I love your programs". I
am truly flattered, but as mentioned in DEADZONE.TXT, I only wrote D-UseR.
The rest of the DeAdZoNe utilities were written by Victor Magdic, SysOp of
the DeAdZoNe BBS. It was Victor who first got me interested in
programming BBS utilities, and without his continual help throughout my
learning stage, I doubt D-UseR would ever have become a reality.
Victor has since discontinued running The DeAdZoNe to further his
educational career, but he does still support the TDZ Utilties through the
Fidonet RA_UTIL echo. Please, if you have any questions about the
utilities, I would be more than glad to answer them for you to the best of
my ability, but I think people should realize that it was Vic who started
it, and everything he has done to provide RA SysOps with excellent
utilities at such an irresistable price. <g>
On that note, I would ask that anyone who is using the DeAdZoNe utilities
take a minute to write a netmail message to the author, or send snail mail
to the address listed in the documentation. This will cost you very
little (nothing at all if you use routed netmail) and will let us know
that there are people out there using these programs, and will encourage
us to continue developing them.
The addresses to send to are :
