  3. CP.EXE/MV.EXE are BSD Unix-style file copying/moving utilities for MS-DOS.  
  4. How are these utilities different from the many other 'cp' and 'mv' 
  5. utilities for MS-DOS?

  7.         - both have the -p (preserve timestamp) and -v (verbose) options
  8.           found in BSD Unix/SunOS.
  9.         - both support environment variable references in file names.
  10.         - both allow forward slashes to be used in path names.
  11.         - mv can move files across drives.
  12.         - mv can rename directories as well as files.
