Deluxe Credit Card Processor Door & Support files HISTORY Updates!
*******************************************************************************
V2.06 - Hmmm.... All's well in computerland, seems no complaints (bugs,
dislikes, etc.) lately..
Well here's a bug nobody found - DINERS CLUB wasn't functioning
properly - the door would not let a user enter a D.C. card number
if the AMERICAN EXPRESS flag was not set. Fixed....
Also fixed a bug in the check for the expiration date. Wasn't
checking the date to the 31'st, only the 1'st, so some valid dates
were actually not being accepted....
Added the ability to clear the user's up/download byte and file
counts for registering in the door. This is set via flag in the
config file (Yes, you CAN use your old config file, just run it
and set the flag for Y or N.) Please note, if you have a level
set with "999" to NOT change a users security, NO clear will be
done if the user chooses that subscription option wether or not
you have the config file set to clear the bytes!
News update! The DCCDMGR.EXE program is being ALPHA tested right
now. The price of the manager will be $30.00... For all
previous registered sysops of DCCD, you will recieve a $10.00
discount on DCCDMGR.EXE if you register it by a certain date (of
which I am not sure right now.)
When the manager is complete, there will be multiple DCCD packages
available for purchase: DCCD only ($40.00), DCCD & DCCDMGR ($65.00),
DCCDMGR (for sysops who have registered the DCCD package previously
and after the release of the manager) ($30.00), and DCCDMGR (for
those of you already owning a key to DCCD before I release the
manager) ($20.00)... (For the last option, order the upgrade via
credit card on my support BBS and select the $30.00 option, I will
reduce the amount MANUALLY to $20 if you apply.)
I will soon include a "COMMENTS" file with the DCCD package, just
to show you the comments made about DCCD from some of the sysops
who are using it... Call my board or Salt Air and give your opinoin
of DCCD and maybe we'll add it! Salt Air conference #49, My BBS
conference #2...
*******
V2.05 - Ok, call me stupid, I won't mind, actually I deserve it... I
was trying to allocate a pointer that didn't exist here, sorry about
that, the PCBOARD.SYS error is corrected...
Also spruced up the display of categories (OOPS!)
*******
V2.04 - It seems by adding the external DCCDTEXT file I widened the
horizons of the door... A lot of over seas users are now using
the door because of the ability to change all the prompts.
Added the ability to customize ALL the prompts. You will need to
read the "NOTICE.!!!" file to find out how to upgrade your DCCDTEXT
file... (Sorry folks, but I had to do it)
Fixed a couple trivial bugs and 1 BIG bug that didn't display the
categories correctly (Thanks Ed!) Also fixed a bug in the last
version that I forgot to make the prompts active for the new cards -
OOPS! Sorry. <G>
Now I allow for 3 digit zip codes/postal codes for foreign users
of the door. This seemed to be a problem because of the fact that
postal codes across seas are only 4 digits in some places.
*******
V2.03 - Added 4D SUPPORT conference to CDC's Salt Air BBS! You can also
leave me mail there (#49) or on my BBS.
Added Support Via I-Link through Salt Air PCBoard (So it seems!)
Fixed a few cosmetic things, and changed the default from 0 to 1
for the product quantity when the user is prompted.
Now I format the phone numbers in BADPHONE before I actually compare
them, so as to remove anything but numbers; just like BADCARDS does.
Added the support for JCB, CARTE BLANCHE, and DINER'S CLUB, just
re-run the NEW DCCDCFG program with your old config file and make
the necessary card type selections.
Now I check for a valid date to be inputted by the user for the
card's expiration date. (Checked against today's date.)
Added more checking as for what type of chars will be accepted
when inputting a phone number, expiration date, and birthdate.
Recieved support from TELEFLORA - See the MERCHANT.AD file.
READ NOTICE.!!! for upgrade info in this version! IMPORTANT!
*******
V2.02■- "Jeff, can you add @ macros for invoice number, total, etc, etc...?"
"Jeff, can you make a multi-lingual feature for the internal prompts
so we can create a german version?"
"Jeff, can you write the invoice number to a seperate file so I can
read it in after a user pays?"
"Jeff, Jeff, etc.. etc. .etc..."
(I Love requests! That are logical!)
Well, here it is, multi-lingual, invoice numbering, @ macro-ing,
DCCD V2.02!
I added a new file called DCCDTEXT. This is a file sort-of like
PCBoard's PCBTEXT file, in the respect that it is ascii editable.
Please read the docs on this file before you alter it. You can
also have multiple DCCDTEXT files - such as DCCDTEXT., DCCDTEXT.GER,
etc.
Added an invoice number to the output file. A seperate file will
be created names INVOICE#.CCD to hold the number. I start the first
invoice as 10000. You can change it manually with an editor if you
wish, but if you mess it up - DON'T BLAME ME! <G>
To the CLOSE file - You can now use macros for insertion of the
invoice number, etc... See the docs for more info...
If you have not gotten your new key since version 2.00, please do so!
*******
V2.01■- This version was never released. I have been running this version
on my system for about 2-3 weeks to test the invoice number feature.
All seems well, so here we are! Time to move on....
*******
V2.00■- Well, here's another release... I made a REAL stupid mistake and
didn't allocate enough space for the BBS name in the Door. If you
are a registered sysop of DCCD, you will need to call my BBS and
get your new KEY file. You can obtain this by typing "KEYS"
from the main command prompt on my BBS...
Also added the new question "BIRTH DATE", because of the fact that
people under a certain age may not be wanted as subscribers to
some BBS's. If a file named "BIRTH" exists, it will be shown to
the user before he is prompted for his birth date.
I am asking for a little help here too.. I will soon be including
a "Comments" file in the door. When you call to get your new key,
I would appreciate it if you could leave a message in conference 2,
stating your opinion on this door, as far as how long it took you
to set it up, how much you like it, why?, is it a fast-running
door or slow, and how is the author support??? Thanks folks!
Made a few speed increases in the door itself. But not much more.
I am working on the database as well as a KEYS door on my BBS to
allow you to recieve FREE trial keys withought actually having to
talk to me for one... Have fun folks. (Oh, just so you don't have
to search for my BBS number, it's 312-284-7133, USR 16.8K's)
*******
V1.99■- Release! Here it is, V1.99■ (the little square means an actual
release version.) This version implements the use of MULTIPLE
PRODUCT CATEGORIES - refer to the NOTICE.!!! file for conversion
from older versions to the new 1.99■. Also made a few cosmetic
changes, such as the addition of the words "DAYTIME #:" and
"EVENING #: in front of the phone numbers in the orders.ccd file.
Expect this version to be out for a while, the next release of the
code will implement the direct addition of the DATABASE! The data
base will be an add-on feature for the door that can make your life
1000000000 times easier... Any additions/changes, etc.. to the
door should be suggested in the Support conference on my BBS...
We are looking at a proposed price for the Database in the area of
$30.00.... You'll have to see it to know what it can do for
you!
*******
V1.3b - Woops! This is a really stupid one, I forgot to add the ability
to have a trashcan file of phone numbers and credit card numbers!
It's here. BADCARDS.CCD is the filename of the Bad Card Number
file list; keep only 1 card number on each line, and start at the
very first column. If this file does not exist, it will not be
checked. The same applies for the Bad Phone Number file,
BADPHONE.CCD.
The door now deletes the USERxxxx.INF and USERxxxx.NAM files upon
opening the door.
Added the ability to have your own message appear at the screen
before the user starts entering his card info (Your welcome John Kerr!)
This is the screen that says "NOTICE" at the top (it used to say
"IMPORTANT").
You can refer to the docs for a better description of the changes.
I am in due process of changing the way the Products are worked.
The door will have the support for seperate catagories for different
types of products. Watch for this in the near future (This is a
tough one - I need to make conversion programs, etc too!)
*******
V1.3 - Fixed a minor error on my part in the configuration. Added a
pause to the end of the Subscription options when a caller is not
within the allotted days to renew & he get's kicked out of the door
because it is of no further use to him.
Also got rid of the main menu if you are not using BOTH the Product
and Subscription mode. This menu was not necessary, and just helped
to confuse the users.
Also added the (P)rocess command to the Subscription and Product
menus for easier use by the user.
*******
V1.2 - Added the ability to output 2 files: 1 containing the user's name
and the second containing information about what the user just
purchased. See the docs for more information on this feature.
You can still use the same configuration file with this version.
Also fixed a bug if the user had an expired level of "000000".
*******
V1.1b - Fixed a minor problem that would not let certain users into the
Subscription options portion of the door if their expiration date
was less than the current date.
*******
V1.1 - Of all the people asking for the ability to change the user's
EXPIRED SECURITY LEVEL as well as the normal security level, here it
is! This release makes the changes you wanted! Added support for up
to 20 Subscription Options, and EXPIRED SECURITY fields to accept the
value of the new EXPIRED level. Setting the EXP level to "999" will
tell DCCD not to make ANY changes to the user's EXPIRED LEVEL ONLY!
Notice, I did say EXPIRED LEVEL ONLY - 999 in the EXP field only
effects what DCCD does with the EXPIRED level. Merry Christmas!
Oh, I was requested to add the support for JCB, Diners Club, etc.
cards too.... I will get that support in ASAP! I just need the
card number sequences and check data...
*******
V1.0b - A basic re-release of the original, with a couple doc additions.
(I forgot to put the price in them! OOPS! Sorry...) Also fixed a
bug in the routine that changed the users Expiration date, thus not
giving him the proper security level, instead they got the expired
security level.
*******
V1.0 - This is it! We've tested it ourselves long enough, now it's your
turn to see one of the best programs for processing your Credit
Card Orders On-Line.....
