│ Caller Log Version 1.1 │
│ Copyright 1993 -*- GlassWare Doors │
├──────────────────────────────────────────────────┤
│ Written in Turbo Pascal By: H. Allen Cravener │
└──────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
First the legal stuff:
This Program is Shareware. This means that if you find it useful you
Must register it if you are going to continue using it.
You may try it for 30 days to determine whether it is a program that
you consider helpful and worth paying for. After 30 days you must
either send my fee or delete it from your hard drive.
You may distribute this software by uploading it to any BBs that you
call. You also may pass it along to a friend.
You may NOT charge anything for this utility and you may not include
it as part of any software that you are selling. If you like it and
find it useful, you might let me know. That would encourage me to
write some more when the need arises.
This Program was tested on my BBs: (Wildcat 5.55M)
If you like the Program and continue using it then you MUST send me
$15.00 (Cheap huh?) to encourage me to continue writing BBS Utilities.

I do not guarantee that this Program will work for you, nor will I be
responsible for any damage that may result from using this utility.
It is your responsibility to test it with your system and determine
that it will cause no harm.
How does it work: (EASY AS 1 2 3)
1: Place CALLS.EXE in your Wildcat 'HOME' Directory. IE: c:\wc30.
2: Create a CALLS.CFG file (see example below).
3: Add a couple of short lines to your POSTCALL.RUN file in 'EACH'
NODES wc30\wcwork\node# directory. (see example below).
*** What will it do ***
CALLS.EXE (when run from your POSTCALL.RUN) on each node, will create
a BULL#.BBS that will display who called today. Included in this BULL
will be all callers names, where from, connect speed, uploads,
messages posted, downloads, when connected, and how long online.
Callers who have dropped carrier will also be noted with an * .
PAGE 1
There will be a summary of activity for all nodes printed as the
last screen in the bulletin. It will contain totals for all above
info. as well as total local logons, percentage of utilization, and
number of new users.
When the date changes at midnight, CALLS.EXE will know it and create a
second bulletin that will then be your log of who called yesterday.
This is automatic and requires no special commands or events.
The number of nodes that you want to report is selected in the CONFIG
file, and should handle any number of nodes (tested on 4 nodes).
CALLS.EXE fully supports file locking and should work fine on any
multi-node Wildcat system. CALLS.EXE does not require SHARE to be
loaded, however it doesn't mind if it is.
CALLS.EXE is very fast and will not slow down your bbs cycle for more
than a second or two per node (depending on how big your activity.###
files are.
CALLS.EXE generates it's bulletins using the Wildcat @ codes for all
functions such as colors, cls, and pause. You only need one bulletin
that way. No need for separate BBS and SCR files.
Single Node users should indicate 1 node in the CALLS.CFG file.

NOTE: You can also call CALLS.EXE during your nightly event to update
your YESTERDAY bulletin. The closer to 00:01 AM that you run
CALLS.EXE the more accurate your bullitens will appear.
However, it must be run:
'AFTER THE DATE HAS CHANGED ON YOUR COMPUTER'!
