  5. ********  REINSTALLATION
  6.  
  7. 1]  VERY IMPORTANT:  You must run the install program (follow the 
  8. instructions below) to change your existing menu, index and phone book data 
  9. files to the new format.  ** YOU CAN NOT SIMPLY COPY THE NEW FILES! **
  10.  
  11. ********  INSTALLATION
  12.  
  13. 1]  IMPORTANT:  You must run the install program from a floppy drive for the 
  14. program to function.  To do this you should have a program diskette.
  15.  
  16. 2]  If you do not have a BIGMENU program diskette then create one by copying 
  17. the following (6) files to the root directory of a floppy disk: 
  18.

  21.         BM_M     PRG       Holds program characteristics.
  22.         INSTALL  EXE       Install program.  Creates other program files.
  23.         MENU     EXE       Menu program. Can not be executed without 
  24.                            BIGMENU.BAT.
  25.         README   TXT       This file.
  26.         README   BAT       Runs README.TXT.
  27.         BIGMENU  HLP       BIGMENU help file
  28.  
  29. If you do have a program disk then make sure the above files are on the disk.
  30. The lastest release is 1-25-93.  All of the above files should be dated 
  31. 1-25-93 or later.
  32.  
  33. 3]  Use the following commands in DOS to install (first time) or reinstall:
  34.         To install from the A: drive ==>
  35.         (Put your program diskette into the A: drive)
  36.         C> A:
  37.         A> INSTALL
  38.  
  39.         To install from the B: drive ==>
  40.         (Put your program diskette into the B: drive)
  41.         C> B:
  42.         B> INSTALL
  43.  
  44. 4]  Reinstallation will convert your existing BIGMENU data and menu files to
  45. the new improved format.
  46.  
  47. 5]  Command line options (YOU MUST INSTALL FIRST):
  48.         
  49.       C> BIGMENU               Start program.
  50.       C> BIGMENU "User Name"   Skip initial screen and go to a user menu.
  51.       C> MENU PB               Run Phone book module only.
  52.       C> README                View this file (README.TXT).
  53.       C> INSTALL               Installation program.

  55. ********  UPLOADING TO A BULLETIN BOARD
  56.  
  57. 1]  Use your communications program to upload BIGMENU7.ZIP to your local 
  58. bulletin boards.  If you do not have BIGMENU7.ZIP, then you must create it by
  59. compressing the (6) program files (listed above) using PKWARE.

  73. of BIGMENU then send $5 to the address above and please specify floppy disk
  74. size (5.25 in. or 3.5 in.) and density (360K, 720K, 1.2M, or 1.44M).
