Conquer the stars.
Destroy your enemies.
Build a galactic empire.
These are elements of a game that is running through the BBS. The name of the
game is VGA Planets. It is a multiplayer war/economic game. There can be up to
11 players in a game at a time. Each player race has it's own characteristics.
The Romulons have Bird of Preys. The Empire has Star Destroyers and Death
Stars. Death Stars are to be feared! The game is not a real time game. This is
great for people who have a life. You make one move per day, at anytime you
choose. The moves are made on your PC. Move files are kept on the BBS under
files - VGA Planets. These moves take anywhere from 15 min to an hour in
extreme cases. After you've finished your move you upload your new move file to
the same location. These move files are extremely small, ~2K. So, uploading and
downloading is quick. Then at a preassigned time, the game organizer updates
everyones new moves, usually at 9:30 pm. There are currently no weekend move.
If you miss days, it's no big deal. The game carries out your previous orders
in an intelligent manner. If you are interested in checking this out look in
the files -
VGA Planets - download area and download the game itself: VGAPlan.zip. If you
then want to join in on a game, write a message to me, ellis. I'll get you into
an open race. There are 8 players in the current game, so we have room for
more. The game is not documented as well as it should. So, if you have
questions about running it, drop me a line.
See you in the stars
