  2.          Introducing CatNET, a new "echoed" message network.

  5.         CatNET is one of the newer entrants  into the world  of message
  6.         base  echos.   CatNET was formed  not as  a replacement  to the
  7.         various networks, but as an easier   alternative.  CatNET   may
  8.         or may not be for you, but if a seek a relaxed atmosphere where
  9.         the users are the top priority, check us out.
  10.  
  11.       ■ CatNET operates under the following software:

  13.          * QNet
  14.          * TNet v2.x
  15.          * RNet v1.0x
  16.  
  17.         And is totally configurable to PCBoard & Wildcat BBS's using
  18.         any .QWK compatible offline mail door.

  21.       ■ CatNET charges NO membership fees or yearly dues.

  24.                   CatNet User Rules and Regulations

  28. CatNet is a Network of Bulletin Board Services that share common
  29. message conferences, which are echoed between these Bulletin Boards
  30. via the Hub.  This Network is a voluntary service provided by
  31. participating System Operators, their respective Bulletin Board
  32. Systems, and the CatNet Hub.
  33.  
  34. Here are the current rules and regulation concerning user
  35. participation in all Network conferences and Network messages.
  36.  
  37. 1.  Flaming or similar personal attacks on this Network are
  38.     prohibited.  Derogatory racial, ethnic, or other such remarks are
  39.     not allowed.
  40.  
  41. 2.  No abusive or offensive language is allowed; and no abusive,
  42.     offensive or lewd graphics are allowed.
  43.  
  44. 3.  Real names must be used.  No ALIASES or HANDLES are allowed in
  45.     any Network Conferences.
  46.  
  47. 4.  No illegal activities will be tolerated, including but not
  48.     limited to PIRACY, PHREAKING, or other CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES.
  49.  
  50. 5.  Messages on this network are PUBLIC and accessible to every user
  51.     on every node of this network.
  52.  
  53.     PRIVATE messages are available only in the USER-USER conference.
  54.     While every effort is made by the network software to correctly
  55.     route and protect such private messages, the Network disclaims
  56.     all responsibility should these measures fail.
  57.  
  58.     Network Sysops have the ability to monitor ALL messages routed
  59.     through their nodes.
  60.  
  61. 6.  Messages may be of any length if the matter contained within the
  62.     message warrants it.  Excessive quoting is not permitted.
  63.  
  64. 7.  Messages should be contained within suitable conferences that
  65.     address the subject thread.
  66.  
  67. 8.  The use of ANSI color signatures is permitted in all Network
  68.     conferences provided they do not take up the bulk of a message.
  69.     ANSI BBS advertisements are allowed in the BBS_Ads conference.
  70.     All other ANSI screens are allowed ONLY in the ANSI/Graphics
  71.     conference.

  73. 9.  Any user found to be in violation of any Network rule will be
  74.     issued a warning, and/or on the judgement of the CatNet
  75.     Administrator, be prevented from accessing any or all Network
  76.     conferences from ALL Network nodes.

  78. 10. No warranties expressed or implied, are made by the Network or by
  79.     any participating nodes regarding the contents or subject matter
  80.     contained within Network messages.
