  2. 7.  Now put  the top  side of  the
  3. tire on the same  way. If you have
  4. trouble,  make sure  there is  not
  5. too  much air  in the  inner tube.
  6. Also  check to  see that  the tire
  7. goes  on  properly.  Sometimes the
  8. tire   won't   drop   fully   into
  9. position  on the  rim, often  near
  10. the valve. This is why you put the
  11. valve  half-way into  into hole at
  12. first,  to help  prevent the  tube
  13. getting  caught  between  the tire
  14. and the rim edge.

  20. 8.  When  the  tire  is installed,
  21. gently  pull and  wiggle the valve
  22. stem into position.

  26. 9. Put just a  little air into the
  27. tire,  about 10  pounds per square
  28. inch.  Look at  the tire,  all the
  29. way around  and on both  sides, to
  30. be sure it  is seated properly. If
  31. there is a section of tire that is
  32. trying  to  bulge   off  the  rim,
  33. remove the  air and fix  this area
  34. by pushing it into position. After
  35. you  are satisfied  with the  tire
  36. installation, inflate  the tire to
  37. full  pressure.  Do  this  slowly,
  38. periodically  checking   that  the
  39. seating  is still  OK. The  proper
  40. pressure  is  written (vulcanized)
  41. on the tire side.
