  8. Welcome to StickIt2, the Amiga sticky note reminder program!

  13.    StickIt2 will run on any Amiga equipped with AmigaDos 2.04 and
  14. above. It requires no third-party libraries, and will work with the
  15. non-scalable diskfont library (version 36) although you won't get
  16. scalable fonts then :-).

  18. What is StickIt?

  21.    StickIt2 is a replacement for the good ol' Post-It note. It allows
  22. you to stick notes on your screen which will be displayed every time
  23. you reboot; useful to remind you of things to do.
  24.  
  25.    StickIt2 was written with a job to do... to replace all the bits of
  26. paper I used to leave around to remind me to do something. I have tried
  27. to write a program to do that with the minimum of fuss and with a nice
  28. clean Workbench 2 interface. I have tried to make the program
  29. configurable enough for each user's needs, without over-doing it.

  34.    StickIt version 2.00 supports the following features:

  36.    * StickIt2 can have up to 100 notes in use at any time.
  37.  
  38.    * StickIt2's notes can be in any colour.
  39.  
  40.    * StickIt2's notes can use any font in any colour, size and style.
  41.      Each note can have its own font.
  42.  
  43.    * StickIt2's notes are directly editable (like typing text into a
  44.      word processor).
  45.  
  46.    * StickIt2's notes are resizable using a discrete hidden resize
  47.      gadget.
  48.  
  49.    * StickIt2's notes can open on any public screen.
  50.  
  51.    * StickIt2 runs as a commodity.
  52.  
  53.    * StickIt2 uses the system clipboard.
  54.  
  55.    * StickIt2 can be run from either Workbench or the CLI with full
  56.      tooltype support in both cases.
  57.  
  58.    * StickIt2 has a font sensitive GadTools interface designed with the
  59.      excellent "The Designer". See Credits.

  61.    * StickIt version 2.00 is only 7k larger than StickIt-1.03.

  63.    The limits imposed by the program are:

  65.    * The note may only contain 4k of text (just over 4,000 characters).

  67.    * The title bar may only contain 128 characters of text.
