  5. This version fixes a bug in the Setup Wizard of V 1.0.
  6.  
  7. Note:
  8. =====
  9. This version has been packaged in such a way that the size of the executables
  10. is smaller than the previous versions. The current versions makes use of the
  11. DLLs supplied with Windows 95 instead of packaging the code with the
  12. executables. Both setup wizard and the Launchpad have decreased in size by
  13. three fourth's. To make sure the required DLLs have been installed by
  14. Win 95 you should have installed Wordpad or Paint as part of Accessories.
  15. The DLLs that are used by Launchpad and which are installed in Windows\system
  16. directory are MFC30.DLL, MFCANS32.DLL, MFCUIA32.DLL. If you still have problems
  17. installing check for the exitence of these DLLs in Windows\System directory.
  18. If not found install Wordpad or Paint from Add/Remove Programs applet of
  19. control panel.

  21. Next Version:
  22.     The next version is in the works now. Some of the features you may
  23.     see in the next version are:
  24.     * Your suggestions 
  25.     * Support for multiple associated folders
  26.     * Support for Start Menu of the Task Bar
  27.     * Active Windows List
  28.     * Active process list with Process control - terminate etc.
  29.     * Ability to explore folders in the launchpad either as menus 
  30.       or as list views/icon views.

  35. *** Installation ***
  36.  
  37.     If you received this version of Launchpad 95 on a floppy disk 
  38.     please follow the instructions on the disk label to install Launchpad.
  39.  
  40.     If you received this version of Launchpad 95 in a self-extracting
  41.     ZIP file (for example, Launch10.EXE), you can install it as
  42.     follows:
  43.  
  44.     On Windows 95:  
  45.  
  46.     1.  Go to the MS DOS prompt. Create a temporary directory
  47.     (for example, c:\temp). Change to the temporary dir.
  48.      
  49.     2.  At the command prompt, enter the full name of the 
  50.     self-extracting ZIP file (for example C:\DNLOAD\Launch10.EXE)
  51.     and press the Enter key. This file extracts itself to create
  52.     the installation set. 
  53.  
  54.     2.  One of the files so created is the Setup.exe. At the command
  55.     prompt in the temporary directory enter Setup.exe and
  56.     press the Enter key.
  57.  
  58.     4.     The Setup program will prompt you for various inputs during
  59.     the installation process.

  61.     Note:     Go through the Configure option at the time of 
  62.         installation for predictive results
  63.  
  64.     5.  When the SETUP program completes you can delete the 
  65.     self-extracting ZIP file and the temporary dir with
  66.     its contents.

  74.     The evaluation "BBS" version of Launchpad 95 is distributed as a
  75.     self-extracting ZIP file.
