  95. BarClock is completely self-contained and requires Windows 3.1.
  96. BarClock uses very little memory (about 30 k) and uses almost no system
  97. resources.

  102. Installation from .ZIP file
  103.  1. Create a new directory (such as C:\BARCLOCK).
  104.  2. Unzip the BARCLK41.ZIP archive into this new directory.
  105.  3. Create a new program manager item for BarClock - the command line
  106.     for this icon should read C:\BARCLOCK\BARCLOCK.EXE.  We suggest addin
  107. g
  108.     this icon to your StartUp group.  This will cause BarClock to start
  109.     every time you start Windows.
  110.  4. Double-click the icon to start BarClock.

  112. Automatic Launch
  113. If you chose not to create an icon in your StartUp group and you want
  114. BarClock to start automatically when Windows is started, you can modify
  115. the "load=" line in your WIN.INI file (found in your \WINDOWS
  116. directory) so that it reads "load=barclock.exe".  (NOTE:  Always make a
  117. backup copy of WIN.INI before changing it.)

  119. Checking Installation
  120. If BarClock is installed properly, you will see the BarClock About...
  121. dialog displaying the current version number and important copyright
  122. information.  Click OK to continue and the time and date will appear in
  123. the title bar of the active application. This introductory dialog can
  124. be recalled later by choosing About... from the BarClock menu.

  126. Upgrading a prior version of BarClock
  127. If you are upgrading an older version of BarClock, you will first need
  128. to exit the older version of BarClock.  The new version of BarClock can
  129. be safely installed into the same directory as the prior version and
  130. will retain all existing settings, alarms and timers.

  132. Removing BarClock
  133. Since BarClock does not make any modifications to any of your system
  134. files, if you decide to remove BarClock you simply need to delete a few
  135. files and icons.
