  1.    WELCOME TO WINEDIT 95G!

  3.    WinEdit is the Windows Editor that you can use to edit virtually
  4.    any text file.  A >very< souped up version of Windows Notepad.
  5.    It is specifically designed to be a programmer's editor, and can
  6.    execute compilers and check for error messages.  It also includes
  7.    a powerful macro language.

  10.    This package contains all the pieces to install WinEdit for
  11.    Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 3.1 and Windows for Workgroups.
  12.    (Assuming that you have the disks, and not one of the 16 or 32 bit
  13.    specific ZIP files - in which case you have all the pieces for a
  14.    16 or a 32 bit Windows platform.)

  76.          You can now reassign command hotkeys from an interactive dialog
  77.          in WinEdit.  Menus are automatically updated to reflect the new
  78.          hotkeys.  You can also define more than one hotkey for a command,
  79.          such as <Ctrl+Y> and <keypad -> to delete a line.

  81.    Improved compiler support
  82.          Choosing a compiler from the Project dialog's dropdown combo box
  83.          automatically configures WinEdit's error parsing logic for that
  84.          compiler.  Supports Microsoft, Zortech, Watcom, Borland C++, Turbo
  85.          Pascal, Borland TASM, and Clipper.  User-configurable for any other
  86.          compiler.

  88.    Improved macro recording
  89.          In the Pro version, the Macro Recorder now records all commands as
  90.          WIL scripts.  When recording is concluded, the recorded script is
  91.          loaded into a document window for easy editing.  Pre-configured
  92.          to automatically add the newly recorded script to the Macro Menu,
  93.          or fine tune your macro with any of over 400 WIL and WinEdit macro
  94.          functions.

  97.          Backup file creation, location, and name are configurable.
  98.          Changed (unsaved) files indicated on screen.

  111.                HOW TO INSTALL WINEDIT

  113.    Use our WSETUP.EXE program, which will copy the files for you and install
  114.    a WINEDIT group in the Program Manager or Win95 Start Menu.
  115.    To use our SETUP.EXE program...

  117.      1) Close down all extraneous Windows applications.

  119.      2) Double-Click on the SETUP.EXE program
  120.  
  121.      3) When the setup program asks for a directory, specify initial
  122.         directory, or accept the given default.
