  17. This software is protected by copyright law.  You may copy it onto a computer
  18. to be used and you may make archive copies of the software for the sole purpose
  19. of backing up our software and protecting your investment from loss.

  21. This software may be used by any number of people, and may be freely moved from
  22. one computer or location to another, as long as there is no possibility of it
  23. being used by more than one person at a time.  This software can't be used by
  24. more than one person at a time, in different locations, without Dot C Software,
  25. Inc.'s permission.

  27. Adding Users

  29. You may add users by paying for a separate software package for each user.  You
  30. may also add users by purchasing multiuser versions, or additional licenses for
  31. the software, so long as the number of persons who are able to use the software
  32. at one time isn't more than the number of authorized users specified in our
  33. package or license.  The number of authorized users is not increased if Dot C
  34. Software, Inc. simply puts more than one type of media (such as 3.5 and 5.25
  35. inch diskettes) in the software package.
  36.  
  37. Software Transfer
  38.  
  39. You may transfer all of your rights to use the software to another person,
  40. provided that you transfer to that person all of the software, diskettes, and
  41. documentation provided in this package (including this statement), and transfer
  42. or destroy all copies in any form.  Once you transfer the software you no
  43. longer have any right to use it, and the person to whom it is transferred may
  44. use it only in accordance with the copyright law, and this statement.

  46. If you purchased an upgrade version of the software, it constitutes a single
  47. product with the Dot C Software, Inc. software that you upgraded.  It may not
  48. be transferred or used by more than one person at a time, without written
  49. permission from Dot C Software, Inc.

  51. Except as provided in this statement, you may not transfer, rent, lease, lend,
  52. copy, modify, translate, sublicense, time-share, or electronically transmit or
  53. receive the software, media, or documentation.

  55. Derivative Works

  57. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative
  58. works of the Program.

  60. Limited Warranty
  61.  
  62. Dot C Software, Inc. warrants the physical media and physical documentation
  63. provided by Dot C Software, Inc. to be free of defects in materials and
  64. workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the original purchase date.
  65. If Dot C Software, Inc. receives notification within the warranty period of
  66. defects in materials or workmanship, and determines that such notification is
  67. correct, Dot C Software, Inc. will replace the defective media or documentation.
  68. DO NOT RETURN ANY PRODUCT UNTIL YOU HAVE CALLED THE DOT C SOFTWARE, INC.
  69. CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND OBTAINED A RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER.

  71. The entire and exclusive liability and remedy for the breach of this limited
  72. warranty shall be limited to replacement of defective media or documentation
  73. and shall not include or extend to any claim for or right to recover any other
  74. damages, including but not limited to, loss of profit, data, or use of the
  75. software or special, incidental or consequential damages, or other similar
  76. claims, even if Dot C Software, Inc. has been specifically advised of the
  77. possibility of such damages.  In no event will Dot C Software, Inc.'s liability
  78. for any damages to you or any other person ever exceed the lower of the list
  79. price or the actual prices paid for the package or the license to use the
  80. software, regardless of the form of the claim.

  82. DOT C SOFTWARE, INC. SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES,
  83. REPRESENTATIONS, OR CONDITIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED
  84. TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A
  85. PARTICULAR PURPOSE.  ALL OTHER IMPLIED TERMS ARE EXCLUDED.

  87. Specifically, Dot C Software, Inc. makes no representation or warranty that
  88. the software or documentation are "error-free", or meet any user's particular
  89. standards, requirements, or needs.  In all events, any implied warranty,
  90. representation, condition, or other term is limited to the physical media and
  91. documentation and is limited to the 90-day duration of the limited warranty.

  93. Dot C Software, Inc. is not responsible for, and does not make any
  94. representation, warranty, or condition concerning product, media, software, or
  95. documentation not manufactured or supplied by Dot C Software, Inc., such as
  96. third-parties' programs that are designed using Dot C Software, Inc. software
  97. or which include Dot C Software, Inc. programs or files.

  99. General Provisions

  101. This statement may be modified only in writing signed by you and an authorized
  102. officer of Dot C Software, Inc.  If any provision of this statement is found
  103. void or unenforceable, the remainder will remain valid and enforceable
  104. according to its terms.  If any remedy provided is determined to have failed
  105. of its essential purpose, all limitations of liability and exclusions of
  106. damages set forth in the limited warranty shall remain in effect.  Use,
  107. duplication, or disclosure of the software and documentation in this package
  108. by the U.S. Government is subject to the restricted rights applicable to
  109. commercial computer software (under FAR 52.227-19 and DFARS 252.227-7013).

  111. This statement shall be construed, interpreted, and governed by the laws of
  112. the State of Hawaii, U.S.A.  This statement gives you specific legal rights;
  113. you may have others which vary from state to state and from country to
