  5. This readme file provides installation instructions for Message 
  6. Pad 3.0.  For a complete description of Message Pad and 
  7. instructions on its use, please refer to MANUAL.WRI or the 
  8. Message Pad help file (MSGPAD.HLP).

  11.  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  14. In an effort to keep the number of files required for downloading 
  15. to a minimum, the Setup program assumes that VBRUN300.DLL is 
  16. already installed in your Windows\System directory.  If you do 
  17. not have VBRUN300.DLL it can be obtained in section 5 of the 
  18. MSBasic forum or section 12 of the MSWRKGRP (VBRUN3.ZIP) forum on 
  19. CompuServe.

  21. IMPORTANT:  Neither the Setup program nor Message Pad will run 
  22. unless VBRUN300.DLL is installed in your Windows\System directory.

  24. To install Message Pad using the Setup program:
  25.  
  26.    *    From the Windows Program Manager's File menu, choose Run
  27.  
  28.    *    In the Command Line box, type X:\SourcePath\Setup, where 
  29.     X:\SourcePath is the drive and directory where the Message
  30.     Pad files are located.

  32. You also must have a post office and user accounts created with 
  33. MS Mail.  You do not need to set up any additional accounts or 
  34. tell Message Pad who you are.  When you start up Message 
  35. Pad, it will log on to your regular MS Mail account.
