  5. Draw structures with simple mouse clicks on icons.
  6. Change bonds with mouse clicks on drawing. Use
  7. clipboard to copy the 2-D structures to other
  8. applications. Name the structures and save with them,
  9. text of up to 32000 characters. Use the clipboard to
  10. copy text to other applications. Search the directory
  11. containing the structure files using exact structure,
  12. a substructure, or fragments of a structure. Search
  13. the directory for a string that occurs in the
  14. structure's name or associated text. Combine the
  15. structure search with a string search. Search results
  16. display structure name and file name. Edit structures
  17. and text using the standard Windows Edit menu commands.
  18. The Molecular Formula and Weight are continuously
  19. updated as you draw or edit. Open multiple files.

  29. Installation:
  30. Copy the three files in this release to the directory 
  31. where you want Easy C Base installed. For example, to 
  32. install Easy C Base on drive C: in a directory called ECB, 
  33. do the following:

  35. *In the File Manager, select drive C: then choose Create 
  36. Directory from the File menu.
  37. *In the dialog box enter ECB, then click OK.
  38. *Using the mouse, drag the files in this release to 
  39. the directory you just created.

  41. To add the Easy C Base icon to the Windows Program Manager 
  42. (Recommended):
  43. First:
  44. *Choose New from the File menu in the Program manager.
  45. *In the dialog box click on the New Group button, then 
  46. click OK.
  47. *In the following dialog box, in the Description box, 
  48. enter: Easy-C-Base, then click OK.
  49. *A Program Group is created.
  50. Second:
  51. *Choose New from the File menu in the Program Manager.
  52. *In the dialog box click on the New Item button, then 
  53. click OK.
  54. *In the dialog box that follows: 
  55. in the Description box, enter: Easy-C-Base, 
  56. in the Command Line box, enter: C:\ECB\ECB.EXE,
  57. in the Working Directory box, enter: C:\ECB, then Click 
  58. OK.
  59. *An Easy C Base icon is created.

  61. You may use different path names for the command line and 
  62. working directories.
  63. If you wish to add Easy C Base to an existing Program 
  64. Group, skip steps listed under First.
