  3. VidSwitch 1.4a - If you frequently change your video resolution
  4. you need VidSwitch! VidSwitch learns the settings for your
  5. various drivers and allows a quick change from one resolution
  6. to another. Much simpler and quicker than using Windows setup!

  25. Run INSTALL.EXE. All distribution files will be copied to the directory of your choice 
  26. (.VBX and .DLL files will be placed in your Windows/System directory).

  29. **UPGRADING**
  30.  
  31. If you are upgrading from version 1.3 or older, run the new version and delete all recorded video
  32. modes. Then use Windows SETUP to switch to another mode. You may now go through the process 
  33. of re-recording your video modes in VidSwitch. This process is necessary due to a bug in 
  34. older versions that prevented the correct font information from being written to 
  35. WIN.INI and sometimes resulted in incorrect font sizing.

  38. CHANGES IN THIS VERSION
  39.  
  40. Version 1.4a eliminates VBCTL3D.VBX which created 3D control effects. This third party 
  41. custom control caused many problems so it has been dropped.

  44. BUGS, INCOMPATIBILITY
  45.  
  46. VidSwitch has been tested with all standard Windows video drivers. We cannot
  47. guarantee compatibility with every video driver in circulation. If VidSwitch
  48. causes problems with your display, simply reboot your machine and go to your
  49. Windows directory in DOS and type SETUP. You can then change back to the previous
  50. video driver that was current before you used VidSwitch. PLEASE let us know if 
  51. you have any problems and what type of driver you have so that we can update 
  52. VidSwitch as needed.

  57. This program may be freely distributed by any BBS or Shareware distributor
  58. as long as all files listed above remain a part of the archive. Please
