  21.   Single programs may be copied while viewing the detailed
  22.   description screen. Single or multiple programs may
  23.   be copied from the short description list screen.
  24.   Optical Drive = The letter designator of your CD-ROM
  25. drive.
  26.   Target Drive  = Enter the letter designator of the drive
  27. to receive data. Note, target drive must
  28. be able to hold all files in the dataset!  
  29. Recommend target drive is a hard drive.

  40. "SHAREWARE GOLD" on the premise that the user wanted an EASY-
  41. TO-USE, VIRUS FREE, CD-ROM disk of the best shareware programs
  42. availble. Our premise was correct. "SHAREWARE GOLD" became a
  43. best seller all over the world.
  44. This CD-ROM disk is published with the same premise. This
  45. CD-ROM includes hundreds of Window programs in eight unique
  46. categories. Each program has been reviewed extensively to
  47. provide a detailed description of each application. Additional
  48. information about hardware requirements, registration, and the
  49. the program author is also provided.
  50. This disk will fill your basic software needs with a minimum
  51. of time, money and effort.

  59.  WHAT IS SHAREWARE? 
  60. Shareware is a unique system of distribution that allows authors
  61. to place their products in the hands of the end user before the
  62. end user pays for it. This allows the user to determine if the
  63. software meets his or her needs.
  64. The shareware distribution system allows thousands of authors to
  65. bring their products to market inexpensively - saving the user
  66. from having to bear these costs. Implied in this is the premise
  67. and promise that the end user will pay the registration fee if he
  68. or she uses the product.
  69. The Copyright laws apply to shareware products. The author retains
  70. ownership even though the product may be copied.
  71. You may copy programs from this CD-ROM disk, but if you use any,
  72. please register with the authors. Each product description includes  
  73. the author, address, phone, and fee. These payments encourage and
  74. sustain the continued availability of new and existing products.

  99.  You may select a single item by moving the hilite bar with  
  100.  the arrow keys (
  101. ) and pressing proper key as indicated
  102.  on the screen to accomplish the desired task.
  103.  You may process multiple selections by hiliting several
  104.  items and 'marking' them by pressing the SPACE key. To
  105.  'unmark' a selected item, hilite it and press the SPACE key 
  106.  again. All 'marked' items will be processed in the order
  107.  they appear on the Picklists.

  109.  RETRIEVAL PROGRAM FEATURES 
  110. The retrieval program allows you to select a category and
  111. then presents a list of all programs within that category.
  112. At this point you may look at a program review on the
  113. screen, print a program review on the printer, or copy
  114. the application program to a hard drive in 1 of 2 formats.

  116. 2. Single zip file format for BBS use.
  117. To process multiple entries you move through the list with
  118. the up and down arrow keys and mark the desired records
  119. with the SPACE key. (You may unmark a marked record by
  120. pressing the SPACE key a second time.)
  121. By pressing the proper key or key combinations noted on
  122. the screen you will either view, print or copy the single
  123. hilited item or all of the marked items.
  124. You may print or copy a single item from the description
  125. screen.

  130.   viewing screen by pressing the ALT_P key combination.

  134.   You may batch print a number of reports from the short
  135.   description display table by 'marking' those for which
  136.   you wish a report (mark and unmark by hiliting and
  137.   pressing the SPACE key. Pressing the ALT_P key combination 
  138.   will print reports for all programs which were 'marked'.
