  2. Almanac Registration Options
  3.  
  4. At Impact Software we recognize the needs and capabilities of different
  5. computer users.  Two types of registration packages are offered in
  6. order to provide you with the level of service that best suits your
  7. requirements.  Almanac can be registered for use with the package
  8. options described below.  The Almanac software in each package contains
  9. the same features and capabilities.  The Basic registration is provided
  10. for those users who have easy access to BBS networks using a
  11. communications package and modem and who enjoy obtaining quality
  12. software at lower shareware prices.  The Premium package is targeted
  13. for those users who do not have ready access to shareware updates
  14. and/or prefer the benefits of a retail software package.

  17. Basic Registration
  18. ------------------

  20. With the Basic registration you will receive a license number which will
  21. prevent the shareware screen from soliciting you for $$$ and also display
  22. your name as a registered user at start-up.  This registration will be
  23. good for all future shareware versions of Almanac.  The basic registration
  24. does not include update disks or manual.  It is the responsibility of
  25. the user to acquire any future releases of Almanac either directly from
  26. our support BBS at Impact Software (telephone (714) 590-0500) or through
  27. the normal shareware distribution outlets such as electronic bulletin
  28. boards, shareware mail order catalogs, etc.

  31. Premium Registration
  32. --------------------

  34. With each Premium registration you will receive the latest version of
  35. Almanac on either 5.25 or 3.5 inch floppy disks.  This version will contain
  36. its own license number and will not display a shareware screen upon startup.
  37. Along with your new software you will receive a bound, professionally
  38. printed operation manual for Almanac.  As a premium user, you will be
  39. notified of new releases of Almanac and their features and will be offered
  40. upgrade packages at a discount rate.

  43. Registration Upgrades
  44. ---------------------

  46. A Premium Upgrade option is available for users who have a Basic
  47. registration and would like to upgrade to Premium.  Shareware users who
  48. have registered prior to September 30, 1990 and would like to upgrade to
  49. the full-service Premium registration may do so at a 50% discount rate.

  106. If you are requesting an upgrade package, please be sure to enter your name
  107. requested above exactly as it appears on your current registration.  Also
  108. include your registration name and number in the space provided.  If you
  109. do not have your registration information handy, your registered name and
  110. number can be found in your Windows configuration file, WIN.INI.  The
  111. WIN.INI file is located in your Windows directory and can be viewed with
  112. the Windows Notepad application.  Your registration information will be
  113. located under the [Almanac] section in the 'RegName=' and 'Reg#='  fields.

  115. Premium upgrades at reduced rates are only available to users registered
  116. before September 30, 1990.  You do not have to include proof of
  117. registration date.  This information has been recorded during processing
  118. of your registration.  Unauthorized requests for upgrades will be returned.

  120. License requests from outside the United States:  Registrations will be
  121. processed upon receipt of U.S. funds in check or money order (cash
  122. discouraged, but accepted).
