  16. <h1>Receiving events from a removed system</h1>
  17. <p>When a remote system is in the Enterprise view, you always receive events that occur on
  18.   that remote system. With the Remove remote system action, you can choose between "Continue
  19.   to receive events from remote system" or "Do not continue to receive
  20.   events from remote system." If you choose the first option, you can monitor
  21.   for problems on remote systems without having the system in your Enterprise view.</p>
  22. <p>The default is to continue receiving events. </p>
  23. <p>If you choose <b>not</b> to continue receiving events, the Adaptec Storage Manager
  24.   on your local system must connect to the remote system. If the Adaptec Storage Manager successfully
  25.   connects, it removes your local system from the remote system <a href="mnmmain.htm">notification
  26.   list</a>. Because the notification list determines what systems receive events
  27.   from that remote system, your local system stops receiving events.</p>
  28. <p>If the Adaptec Storage Manager cannot connect to the remote system and is therefore
  29.   unable to remove your system from the notification list, another window opens
  30.   asking if you want to remove the system from the Enterprise view even though you will continue
  31.   receiving events. </p>

  33.   <li>If you click <b>Yes</b>, the Adaptec Storage Manager removes the remote system
  34.     from the Enterprise view tree and you continue receiving events. <br>

  37.   <li>If you click <b>No</b>, the remote system remains in the Enterprise view
  38.     tree and you continue receiving events. You can reattempt removing your system
  39.     from the notification list at a later time.</li>
