  14. <p>The Physical and Logical device views show the physical devices and logical
  15.   devices connected to the controller.</p><br>

  25. <p>The <strong>Physical devices </strong>view (on the left) displays information
  26.   about the drives, enclosures, and other devices attached to the controller.
  27.   The devices are shown organized by the channel or port that they are connected
  28.   to and shown in numerical order. The display for each channel or port includes
  29.   information on maximum speed capability, the number of the channel on the controller,
  30.   and the number of devices attached to the controller.</p>
  31. <p>Four indicators, next to the controller name, report status of the fan, battery,
  32.   temperature, and power modules on <a href="gsaf-te.htm">SAF-TE</a> (enclosure
  33.   management) devices and other devices that monitor these conditions. The indicator
  34.   is blue for normal, yellow for warning, and red for error; the indicator is
  35.   grayed out if none of the devices on the controller monitor the condition. Example:
  36.   the fan indicator changes to yellow when one fan fails; it changes to red when
  37.   a second fan fails and cooling is no longer adequate.</p>
  38. <p>The<strong> Logical devices </strong>view (on the right) displays information
  39.   about the logical devices created using the physical devices. This information
  40.   includes the number of logical devices, the RAID level of each device, and
  41.   whether a logical device is protected by a hot spare drive. </p>
  42. <p><strong><b><img src="images/note.gif" width="15" height="17"></b> Tip:</strong>
  43.   You can drag the bar between the Physical devices view and Logical devices view
  44.   to adjust the size of each pane. </p>
  45. <p>You can <a href="wcfgldcc.htm">create</a> and <a href="adelld.htm">delete</a>
  46.   logical devices in the Logical devices view. The Create option opens a <a href="wwizpacc.htm">wizard</a>
  47.   that presents the steps necessary to create a new logical device.</p>
