  20.   <li> Adaptec Storage Manager in bootable-CD mode</li>

  23. <p>Use this action to send a test message to a recipient in the email notification
  24.   list: </p>
  25. <ol>
  26.   <li>Click the recipient in the email notification list that you want to send
  27.     a test message.<br>
  28.     <br>
  29.     <b><img src="images/note.gif" width="15" height="17"> Note: </b>If you click
  30.     no recipient or more than one recipient, this action is disabled. <br>
  31.     <br>
  32.   <li>Click <b>Actions</b> <img src="images/menuarow.gif" width="32" height="10" align="absbottom" border="0"><b>Send
  33.     test message</b>. If the Email Notification Manager does not successfully
  34.     connect or send the message, it:
  35.     <ul>
  36.       <br>
  37.       <li>Updates the "Last message sent" column with a <img src="images/s_error.gif" width="16" height="16" alt="Red X icon">
  38.         notifying you of a problem. </li>
  39.       <li>Logs an event in the Email Notification Manager event viewer detailing
  40.         why the message could not be sent.<br>
  41.       </li>

  46. <p>If the test fails, verify the following and try the test again:

  48.   <li>You typed the correct email address when you <a href="asmtpadd.htm">added
  49.     the recipient</a> to the Email Notification Manager.
  50.   <li>You typed the correct <a href="asmtpcfg.htm">SMTP server address</a> when
  51.     you configured the Email Notification Manager.<br>
