  25.   logical-drive size</h1>
  26. <p>Use this action to add space to an existing logical device so you can increase its
  27.   size. </p>
  28. <p>When you create a logical device, it is striped across all of the physical drives
  29.   used by the logical device. To increase the size of an existing logical device,
  30.   you add <a href="gsegment.htm">segments</a> to the logical device, which can
  31.   be on the same or different disks. Then, the Adaptec Storage Manager migrates the
  32.   logical device such that the <a href="cmorelds.htm">data is spread across</a>
  33.   the existing <strong>and</strong> new physical drives. </p>
