  19. <h1>Setting your preferences in the Adaptec Storage Manager</h1>
  20. <p>You can change some settings in the Adaptec Storage Manager to match your preferences.</p>
  21. <p>The Adaptec Storage Manager uses <a href="aalarset.htm">an alarm to announce warning
  22.   and error events</a>. You can turn the repeating alarm on and off, change the
  23.   amount of time between each repeating alarm, and change the duration of the
  24.   alarm.</p>
  25. <p>You can choose to hide the <a href="cusegui2.htm">toolbar</a>, the <a href="cusegui6.htm">status
  26.   bar</a>, and the <a href="cinfo.htm">tool tips</a>. To do so, click <b>View</b>
  27.   in the menubar and click the item you want to turn off.</p>
  28. <p>Also, you can refresh the Adaptec Storage Manager, including the Enterprise view. Click <b>View</b>

  30.   Refresh</b>. </p>
  31. <p>Additionally, you can adjust the size of the Adaptec Storage Manager viewing areas
  32.   to make it easier to see information in which you are interested. Just drag
  33.   the horizontal and vertical bars that separate the Adaptec Storage Manager panes.
