* 3D Design Plus Notes *
* Version 1.2 *
***************************************************************************
Thank you for purchasing 3D Design Plus! Please read this document which
contains last minute information that is not in the User's Guide.
INSTALLING THE APPLICATION
--------------------------
To install 3D Design Plus onto your hard disk, please refer to the User's
Guide. Here are some things to keep in mind when entering the destination
directory:
* When the Setup program prompts you for a directory name, don't
include the trailing slash. For example, use "C:\3DPLUS" instead
of "C:\3DPLUS\".
* Be sure to specify a valid path. SETUP will only create the last
directory entry in the path. For example, the path "C:\MYDIR\3DPLUS"
is only valid if "C:\MYDIR" already exists.
USING A MATH COPROCESSOR
------------------------
A math coprocessor makes 3D Design Plus run about 5 times faster. Geometric
calculations, shading, and solid modeling all use double-precision floating
point which is very CPU intensive without a coprocessor. If you work on
large drawings, a coprocessor will be well worth the investment and make
the program much more enjoyable to use.
