The credits on the record went to Willie's friend, Paul Buskirk, who bought the song, and Buskirk's partners, Walt Breland and Claude Gray himself. To Willie, it makes no difference. He was happy to get $50 to feed his family and to see his music find an audience. Willie knew that if he could write one hit, he could write more.
