Transcription: When I first met Willie, he was the disc jockey at KCMC, I believe, in Fort Worth, Texas. I believe that was in 1955. In his show, he put a 30-minute live show within his regular format. They needed a drummer one day, so they called me up. And I went down there, and they had just a snare drum. I'd never played drums before, so I started out. I played trumpet, but they just started out playing the same one and I just take a brush and go one, two, three, four. And that's exactly how I started out playing drums.
