MacUser magazine had a little blurb about MacCompress in one of the (June 88?) issues; they neglected to mention my name as the author. If any publication mentions MacCompress, please include my name. Also, the one complaint MacUser magazine had about MacCompress has been fixed in v3.02.

MacCompress is not a port from Unix compress; however portions of the compression algorithm in the Unix version of compress were modified for use in MacCompress. Credit goes to the following original authors of the Unix version of Compress (according to the source code I obtained):
