  3. The first file in this disk's directory is a 0-length file identifying the
  4. disk. The format of the filename is:
  5.  
  6.     #CDmvvii.rrr
  7.  
  8. where
  9.     m =   C for C Users Journal, T for TECH Specialist
  10.     vv =  volume
  11.     ii =  issue
  12.     rrr = revision (001 for initial release, 002 for next update, etc.)
  13.  
  14. The file UPDATE.DOC contains any additions/corrections made to material on
  15. the disk since the original magazine publication.

  18. *************************  FILENAME CONVENTION *******************************
  19.  
  20. Most filenames on this disk are configured with a volume number, an issue
  21. number, a page number and an alphabetic letter, as follows:
  22.  
  23.     vNiipppc
  24.  
  25. where
  26.     v   = volumne number
  27.     N   = the letter N
  28.     ii  = issue number
  29.     ppp = page number
  30.     c   = A for first on page, B for 2nd on page, etc.
  31.     
  32.  
  33. For example, 8N04121A would be the first listing on page 121 in
  34. volume number 8 issue number 4.
  35.  
  36. If there are additional files (that did not appear in the actual article)
  37. supplied to us by authors for inclusion in the code disk, they will be
  38. placed in a .ZIP file by the author's name and a copy of PKUNZIP.EXE will
  39. be included.
