- This is a directory containing MANY (over 150!) 3D objects that I have
- collected for use in modelling and rendering programs. These objects
- are stored in a binary format called TDDD, which is used by a
- raytracer called "Imagine." These objects are freely distributable,
- but many have .readmes that describe the object or credit its creator.
-
- In order to use these objects in your own programs, you have several
- choices. The file "TDDD.specs" contains the specifications of the
- binary file format of the objects, and you can write a conversion
- routine. There is also a Shareware object conversion utility that will
- automatically convert any of these objects into either OFF, NFF,
- Rayshade, or vort format. This program can be found on the FTP site
- cs.uoregon.edu (128.223.4.13), in the file /incoming/TDDDconv.tar.Z.
-
- The objects in this directory are to numerous to catalog, but the file
- size is one indication of the complexity of the object. If you have
- any problems or questions with these objects, feel free to e-mail me.
