- Assembling the Final Help Application
-
- In adddition to the renamed copy of CNOTES!.EXE, your Composer Notes
- application consists of the following files: NOTEHLP.* (SRV, TXT, HLP, EXE).
- You must also deliver the files CNOTES.MSG, HMEMM1.DLL, HMTXTOUT.DLL,
- WHCAPT.DLL, and WHTRPTXT.DLL with your application. All of these files
- need to go in the same directory as the main application you created
- help for. Also deliver the file CTL3DV2.DLL, which needs to go into
- the end user's WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory.
-
- If you have not created any help topics for your Composer Notes application,
- the Composer Notes will display an error message when loading your application,
- unless you turn off Topic Help display. Disable the Key setting, from
- the Topic Help section in the Help Events dialog box (Define menu),
- and this error message will disappear.
-
- If you get an error message saying that CTL3DV2.DLL has been installed incorrectly
- when executing your Composer Notes application using the Surveillance Engine,
- make sure that you have CTL3DV2.DLL installed in your WINDOWS\SYSTEM
- directory. Delete also possible additional copy of CTL3DV2.DLL from the directory
- where your Composer Notes application files are located. For example, if your are
- testing your application and using the files in DELIVER directory, you need to remove
- CTL3DV2.DLL from the target directory.
-
- For more information, see Composer Notes online help topic "How do I assemble
- the final help application?" in the How do I... section.
