  4. Copyright (c) 1995 by the Institute for Information Processing and
  5. Computer Supported New Media (IICM), Graz University of Technology,
  6. Austria.

  8. VRweb software including its component libraries [both binary and
  9. source] (hereafter, Software) is copyrighted by the Institute for
  10. Information Processing and Computer Supported New Media (hereafter,
  11. IICM), Graz University of Technology, Austria, and ownership remains
  12. with the IICM, insofar as it is not already copyrighted. The Software
  13. makes use of certain component libraries under the terms of their
  14. respective owners.

  16. The IICM grants you (hereafter, Licensee) a non-exclusive,
  17. non-transferable licence to use the Software for academic, research
  18. and internal business purposes only, without a fee. The Licensee may
  19. distribute the binary and source code unchanged to third parties,
  20. provided that the copyright notice and this statement appears on all
  21. copies and that no charge is associated with such copies.

  23. The Licensee may make derivative works based on or derived from the
  24. Software for academic, research and internal business purposes. The
  25. Licensee may distribute such derivative works for academic and
  26. research purposes only, provided that:

  28.   1. The Licensee notifies the IICM regarding its distribution of the
  29.      derivative work, and
  30.  
  31.   2. The Licensee clearly notifies users that such derivative work is
  32.      a modified version and not the original Software, and

  34.   3. No charge is associated with such a derivative work.

  36. Any Licensee wishing to make commercial use of the Software should
  37. contact IICM to negotiate an appropriate licence for such commercial
  38. use. Commercial use includes:

  41.      sale or licence by or on behalf of the Licensee to third parties,
  42.      or

  44.   2. Distribution of the binary code or source code to third parties
  45.      that need it to utilize a commercial product sold or licensed by
  46.      or on behalf of the Licensee.

  49. IICM MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE SUITABILITY OF THIS SOFTWARE
  50. FOR ANY PURPOSE. IT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT EXPRESS OR IMPLIED
  51. WARRANTY. THE IICM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES SUFFERED BY THE
  52. USERS OF THIS SOFTWARE.

  54. By using or copying this Software, the Licensee agrees to abide by the
  55. copyright law and all other applicable laws of Austria, the United
  56. States and other countries and the terms of this licence. IICM shall
  57. have the right to terminate this licence immediately by written notice
  58. upon the Licensee's breach of, or non-compliance with, any of its
  59. terms. The Licensee may be held legally responsible for any copyright
  60. infringement that is caused or encouraged by the Licensee's failure to
  61. abide by the terms of this licence.
