  2. VIRTUALLY YOURS, PART 1

  4. PC INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
  5.  
  6. 1.  Before playing VIRTUALLY YOURS for the first time, 
  7. you must install Apple's QuickTime for Windows 2.0.
  8.  
  9. 2.  Load the VIRTUALLY YOURS CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
  10.  
  11. 3.  Startup Windows.  From the Program Manager, select "Run..."  
  12. Enter D:\INSTALL.EXE, where "D" is the letter of your CD-ROM drive.
  13.  
  14. 4.  Find the Program Group (in Program Manager) called "GLOWING ICON"
  15. with the Virtually Yours 1 icon inside of it.  Double-click 
  16. the Virtually Yours icon to begin your CD-ROM journey.
  17.  
  18. ADDITIONAL INSTALLATION AND RUNNING INSTRUCTIONS:
  19.  
  20. VIRUS DETECTION:  PLEASE DISABLE VIRUS DETECTION SOFTWARE WHEN
  21. INSTALLING VIRTUALLY YOURS.  THIS CD-ROM IS VIRUS FREE, AND MOST
  22. VIRUS GUARDIANS WILL INTERFERE WITH THE INSTALLATION.
  23.  
  24. WHEN RUNNING VIRTUALLY YOURS, TURN OFF OTHER WINDOWS APPLICATIONS,
  25. SCREENSAVERS (AFTER DARK) AND ALTERNATIVE DESKTOPS (NORTON DESKTOP 
  26. OR DASHBOARD).  THEY USE ADDED MEMORY AND MAY CONFLICT WITH THE 
  27. PERFORMANCE OF VIRTUALLY YOURS.
  28.  
  29. ERROR: PLEASE DISREGARD THE "ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS" PARAGRAPH
  30. WITHIN THE PRINTED CD-ROM BROCHURE INSTRUCTIONS.  IT IS UNNECESSARY.
  31.  
  32. NAVIGATION THROUGH VIRTUALLY YOURS:
  33.  
  34. There are cursor changes to advise you of hot spots and
  35. directional change possibilities.  The pointing finger indicates that 
  36. there is a "hot spot", or invisible interactive button present. 
  37.  
  38. When you are in hallways and rooms:
  39. Click in the center of the screen to go forward, to open a door or launch a movie.  
  40. Click on the left side of the screen to turn to the left.  
  41. Click on the right side of the screen to turn right.  
  42.  
  43. KEYBOARD COMMAND TO EXIT VIRTUALLY YOURS: ESC KEY
  44.  
  45. HOT SPOTS IN THE DIGITAL MOVIES:
  46.  
  47. IN MONIQUE'S VIEWING CHAMBER, THE HOLODECK ROOM, VIDEOS CAN BE
  48. PAUSED AND UN-PAUSED BY CLICKING ONCE ON THE VIDEO IMAGE.
  49.  
  50. IN OTHER PARTS OF THE PROGRAM, CLICKING THE VIDEO WINDOW WILL TOGGLE
  51. BETWEEN ENABLING AND HIDING THE QUICKTIME PLAYER'S CONTROLS.
  52.  
  53. Sometimes the program looses its ability to continually repeat a sound
  54. loop.  Don't worry, if you move on to other parts of VIRTUALLY YOURS,
  55. the audio will return.
  56.  
  57. If all else fails, QUIT and restart the program!
  58.
