  6. SETTING UP J.Q.L. WEIGHTS & MEASURES FOR WINDOWS
  7.  
  8. If VBRUN300.DLL is NOT in your SYSTEM directory type the following
  9.  
  10.    Copy C:\W&M\VBRUN300.DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VBRUN300.DLL
  11.  
  12. (This assumes this distribution disk is in Drive A: and your
  13. Windows files are in the Windows directory on Drive C:  alter the
  14. Drives/Directories as appropriate)
  15.  
  16. Microsoft Windows version 3.1 or greater (from now on referred to
  17. as  Windows),  must be  installed  and running  on  your computer
  18. before you can start W&M. For information on installing and using
  19. Windows, please see the Windows documentation.
  20. 1.   Switch on your computer and monitor.
  21. 2.   Start  Windows.  If  Windows is not  running, type  win
  22.      at  the  command prompt  (  the C:>  prompt)  and press
  23.      ENTER.
  24. 3.   Open the Windows Program Manager window. If the Windows
  25.      Program  Manager window is  not open, then double-click
  26.      on  the  Program Manager  icon,  (or press  CTRL+ESC to
  27.      display  the  Windows Task  List,  then press  the DOWN
  28.      ARROW or UP ARROW key until the Program Manager item is
  29.      highlighted, then press  ENTER).
  30. 4.   Insert the W&M program disk into your floppy disk drive
  31.      (if  you  are using a  5 1/4 inch disk  or a drive that
  32.      has a door, then close the disk drive door).
  33. 5.   From the Program Manager window, click on the word FILE
  34.      to open the menu and click on Run, (or press ALT+F, and
  35.      press the R key).
  36. 6.   In the Command Line box, type   a:\setup
  37.      (If  you are using  a different drive  to drive A, then
  38.      type the correct drive letter instead of "a". eg if you
  39.      are  using drive B, then type  b:\setup )
  40. 7.   Click on the OK button or press ENTER.
  41. 8.   Once   the  Setup  Program  has  loaded,  a  series  of
  42.      instructions  will appear  on your  screen, just select
  43.      the options which   best    match   your   system   and
  44.      requirements.
  45. 9.   W&M  will create it's own Program Group in your Program
  46.      Manager window.

  48. No manual is provided with the program as there is a comprehen-
  49. sive,  context sensitive  help file  which  also  has  a  PRINT
  50. button to print out the topic(s) you require.
