Here's how to get Cook 4.0 up and running.
1. Create a directory called COOK (or whatever you prefer to call it).
Use the DOS command:
MD COOK
for example.
Then put the COOK4.ZIP file into this directory.
2. Unzip COOK4.ZIP. Leave all the files in this directory except five:
VBRUN300.DLL, MSAES110.DLL, VBDB300.DLL, MSAJT110.DLL, and THREED.VBX.
Cook requires VBRUN300.DLL, the Windows Visual Basic Library,
and the other four support files be located in your Windows/System
directory. Move or copy these five files into your Windows/System
directory.
3. Now, to run COOK, you can add COOK4.EXE to your Program Manager
(or whatever Windows shell you use). Or use the RUN command (in the
File menu) in Program Manager or File manager to run COOK4.EXE directly.
A complete description and instructions for all the COOK features
are in the file COOK.WRI (which can be read with the WRITE.EXE file that
comes with Windows, or can be called up within COOK by clicking on
the HELP button).
