Title : StealthELF
(redone for HERETIC from AGMax.wad)
Filename : stealth.wad
Author : Max Smolens - MaCkS on IRC
Email Address : -----------
Misc. Author Info : -----------
Description : It's better than the stuff says below.
uhhh..... just play it.
you see... I just left this stuff
from the original AGMax wad....
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Like AG Assault, one guy on platform,
other guy hides behind barriers, lotsa
weapons and stuff. Nice cool music to
set the tone. Sometimes both guys end
up on the same level. This is really
fun - chasing the other guy around the
'arena', like a wild goose hunt.
-=- Play stealth.wad NOW! -=-
Additional Credits to : Id software, Raven software, HEU port.

Single Player : No
Cooperative 2-4 Player : No
Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes, made for 2 players, I guess you
could play with more... that would
be cool! Tested 2-player by null-modem
cable and by modem.
Difficulty Settings : Not implemented
New Sounds : No
New Graphics : No
New Music : No
Demos Replaced : None
* Construction *
Base : New level from scratch
Editor(s) used : DoomCAD 5.0 (for original AGMax.wad),
WadEd 1.72, HEU (for HERETIC.)
Known Bugs : None, except that I really wanted to
put a firemace in my level, but they
kept changing into these ghost guys...
If I figure this out, I'll put out
a new and improved stealth.wad with
new graphics like AGMax, and more
attention paid to details, like maybe
some more decorations for the level.
* How this WAD was made *
This level started off as a big room with a platform at one end.
I added The thingy's in the middle when I thought to make it look
like the American Gludiators Assault field. I continued making
improvements and changes to the level, including making it
drastically smaller at one time. Once the things were in place,
I tested out my new Doom ][ editor by putting in all sorts of
monsters. Unfortunately, I saved over the wad without monsters -
and I'm too lazy to remove the monsters (that's why you use the
-nomonsters switch for this level!). I asked someone whether to
make the wad for Doom I or Doom ][. They said to make it for
Doom ][. So I redid all the textures with some thought in mind
this time. I added some super shotguns and put in the really cool
stuff around the BFG (you know... in the column). I then had to
make the map MAP32, because I liked the music in that level. I
would have been simple and plain and made the level MAP01, but
I lack an editor to extract/import music for Doom ][. P.S. If you
think this level is any good, go to the #hockey on the irc and
tell them to tell me that you think it's good. :-] By the way:
my nick is MaCkS.
[Added after changed to HERETIC]
Someone on the IRC told me that my level was cool, but nothing like
the American Gludiators Assault, which the original AGMax.wad was
made to look like, before I 'altered' it, making it better. Because
of this, I decided to change the title to StealthELF.
I used a combo of Waded 1.72 and HEU to redesign the textures, remove
and replace all the things, add special design theories only capable
with HERETIC's flying and look up/down specialties, and make the
overall play of the level a whole bunch more fun and cooler and stuff.
The reason I titled this level 'StealthELF' is because I was playing
this guy in DeathMatch, and he kept complaining he couldn't see me.
Pretty lame excuse, i think. It's not like I was invisible or anything!
I was only flying and nailing him with the Phoenix Rod.
GOOD ADVICE: While playing this level, look up and down... it helps. heh
